Edit your demos from Claude
Framvis ships an MCP server, so an AI assistant can list your demos, read their analytics, rename them, set a call to action and hand you a share link — without you opening the dashboard.
Connect it in three steps
-
Create a token
In Framvis, open Profile → API tokens and create one. It is shown once and never again, so copy it before you close the panel. Choose read-only (it can look, not change anything) or read and write, and an expiry of 30, 90 or 365 days. A token cannot create or revoke tokens, so a leaked one can never lock you out of your own.
-
Point your client at the endpoint
Framvis speaks JSON-RPC 2.0 over a single HTTPS POST. There is nothing to install and no SDK — any MCP client that can send a header will do.
-
Ask for what you want
“List my demos and tell me which ones have no share link yet.” Your agent picks the tools; every call is checked against the same permissions and plan limits as the app itself.
Configuration
Most clients take a JSON config. Point yours at the endpoint and send your token as a header:
{
"mcpServers": {
"framvis": {
"url": "https://framvis.com/api/mcp",
"headers": { "X-Api-Token": "vwp_your_token_here" }
}
}
}
Or check a token from the command line:
curl -s https://framvis.com/api/v1/me \
-H "X-Api-Token: vwp_your_token_here"

Worth knowing
- Send the token as
X-Api-Token.Authorization: Bearerworks where the server forwards it, but some hosts strip that header before PHP sees it — if a call 401s unexpectedly, tryX-Api-Tokenfirst. - Never put a token in a URL. Query strings end up in access logs and browser history.
- Revoking a token stops it working immediately, on the next call — there is no cache to wait out.
- The endpoint is rate limited per token. Ordinary agent use will not reach it.
- An assistant edits drafts only. If a shared demo has never been published, Framvis publishes what viewers already see before the first edit, so nothing changes for them until you review the draft and publish it yourself. Making a demo public is always done by a person, in the app.
